Question

My boyfriend was arrested in queens NY for “2nd degree reckless endangerment” but the charges were dismissed shortly after. On the night he was arrested his car was taken as evidence and processed as “forfeiture” after the charges were dropped he was told he could get his car back (7 weeks later) when we went to the impound lot we were not allowed to see the car but we were told it was dead and needed to call a tow truck. When the tow truck dropped the car off to his house the front end was extremely damaged. We have pictures to document. We’d like to know how to proceed and which type of lawyer would help.

Answer

Good luck
