Question

My brother died and was found under a train in the NYC train station (MTA). Police believes it was an accident or a suicide. They refuse for the last 3 weeks to give us information. They aren't even investigating. We were able to pick up his belongings he had on him that night and we went through his phone and saw he made 9 911 calls prior to that incident 2 hours before this happened

Answer

Be mindful of the 90 notice of claim requirement. In similar cases, I've made an Order to Show Cause for preservation and production of the 911 transcripts - directed at the NYPD and filed at 60 center street. You're going to need a lawyer for this. It's not unusual to find the authorities uncooperative.
