Do I need an international attorney ?

Question

I was injured in Aruba Saturday and needed 8 stitches in my heal. I had to pay out of pocket for the hospital and the resort is no responding to my calls. I live in New York and need some advice. Thanks.

Answer

Aruba is a dutch overseas territory. You'd most likely need to reach out to a local Aruban law firm, even to find out if you had a case.
